Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Zemicolon browser extension and related website (together, the "Service"), operated by BravoSpeak Apps ("we", "us"). By installing or using Zemicolon, you agree to these Terms.
1. The service
Zemicolon is a text-expansion tool that runs locally in your browser. The free tier includes a limited number of snippets; the Pro tier, unlocked with a one-time license purchase, includes the additional capabilities described on our product page.
2. License to use Zemicolon
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use Zemicolon on devices you use. A Pro license is valid for one individual and may be activated on that individual's own browsers/devices. You may not resell, redistribute, sublicense, or publicly share license keys. We may revoke keys obtained fraudulently or shared in violation of these Terms.
3. Purchases, delivery, and refunds
- Payment is processed by Stripe. Prices are shown at checkout and may change for future purchases; a purchased lifetime license is never converted to a subscription.
- Delivery: your license key is delivered by email after successful payment. If it doesn't arrive within a few minutes, check spam or contact us.
- Refunds: we offer a 14-day money-back guarantee, no questions asked. Email hello@bravospeak.com from your purchase email. Refunded license keys are deactivated.
- "Lifetime" means the lifetime of the Zemicolon product: all updates to Zemicolon for as long as we offer it, with no recurring fees. Because Zemicolon stores data locally and verifies licenses offline, the extension continues to function even if the Service is discontinued.
4. Your content
Snippets you create are yours. Because they are stored only on your device, we never receive, host, or claim any rights over them. You are responsible for the content of your snippets and for your compliance with the rules of the websites where you use them.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Zemicolon to violate any law, to infringe others' rights, to send spam at scale, or to attempt to circumvent license enforcement (including generating, cracking, or distributing unauthorized keys). You may not reverse engineer the licensed (Pro) components except where permitted by law.
6. Third-party platforms
Zemicolon operates inside your browser and on third-party websites. We are not affiliated with Google, and Chrome Web Store distribution is subject to Google's own terms. Websites where you type remain governed by their own terms of use.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that expansion will function on every website or editor, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, BravoSpeak Apps shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
9. Termination
You may stop using Zemicolon at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or terminate access to the Service (including revoking fraudulently obtained keys) for material violation of these Terms. Sections 4, 7, 8, and 10 survive termination.
10. General
These Terms are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remainder stays in effect. We may update these Terms; material changes will be reflected by a new effective date above, and continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which BravoSpeak Apps is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
